We are a small family-run business in Northwest Arkansas, deeply rooted in our Christian values and love for our country. At Ozark Mountain Leather™, we handcraft all our goods from our own designs and patterns, taking immense pride in using 99% U.S.-sourced leather from American tanneries. With the help of family, we truly make this team effort work.
We are Kendall and Tammy Cross, and together with our son Hunter and Kendall’s sister Karmen, we pour our hearts into this work. Kendall does most of the leatherwork, while Tammy manages orders, customer service, and shipping. Hunter has now graduated from college and works full-time at Ozark Mountain Leather, focusing on quality control, product finishing, and shipping. Karmen lends her talents to the workshop as well. We are blessed to have family by our side every step of the way. Sometimes during our busy seasons, you’ll even see our parents, nieces, and nephews standing alongside us helping out. We truly value family and love them all.
Each item is made one at a time, so you know you’re getting a product built to last. We use Hermann Oak leather for our rifle and shotgun slings, renowned for its exceptional strength and quality. Additionally, we utilize American Bison leather for our Bible covers, book covers, wallets, and bags, sourced from a small tannery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
We’re especially proud of our custom rifle and shotgun slings. Each one is durable yet soft to the hand, straight out of the box. They hold up well, make thoughtful one-of-a-kind gifts, and can be personalized with names, initials, or even a custom stamp of your logo or design. With our new Visualizer tool, you can see your sling come to life as you design it.
